Section 10.12.060 Downtown parking business district.
The city establishes a downtown business district for the
area located on Main Street from
Highway 93 (First Street) to Fifth Street, State Street from, Second Street to Fourth Street,
Pinckney Street from Highway 93 (First Street) to Third Street, Second Street from Pinckney to
State Street and Third Street from Pinckney Street to State Street.
A. The parking plan indicating configuration
and location of regular parking stalls, compact
parking stalls, handicapped parking stalls and no parking areas shall be established by resolution
of the city council after consultation with the downtown business parking committee.
B. Parking Stall Configuration.
1. Regular parking stalls shall be
nine feet in width and eighteen (18) feet in length.
2. Compact parking stalls shall be
eight feet in width and sixteen (16) feet in length.
3. Handicapped parking stalls shall
be eleven (11) feet in width and eighteen (18) feet in
length.
C. Identification of parking and no
parking areas shall be in conformance with the Montana
Department of Transportation Standards for traffic markings as follows:
1. White for marking of parking stalls;
2. Yellow for no parking, no access;
3. Blue for handicapped parking. (Ord.
