Section 12.04.080 Failure to comply.
If the owner of any premises, in front of or along any sidewalk or curb has
been ordered
constructed in the manner herein provided, shall fail, neglect or refuse to construct the same for a
period of thirty (30) days after the date of the first publication or posting of such notice, or for
a
period of thirty (30) days after the date of mailing of such notice, the director of public works, or
other authorized person, may by written order, direct some sidewalk and curb contractor doing
business in the city, to construct the same, and such contractor shall, within sixty (60) days after
receiving such written order, construct and fully complete the same, in accordance with the terms
and conditions as set forth in the written order of the director of public works, or other authorized
person, and the costs of such construction, together with all expenses in connection therewith shall
be assessed against the premises in front of or along which such sidewalk or curb is constructed,
and shall be collected in the manner now or hereafter to be provided by law. (Ord. 165 (part), 2000:
