Section 12.04.200 Same--Apron length where gutters and curbs have not been installed--Surface improvements between driveway approaches.

    A.    Where standard gutters and curbs have not been installed, the apron lengths set forth in Section 12.04.220 shall be measured along the property line and there shall be not less than twenty-four (24) feet of frontage between driveway approaches serving any one property.
    B.    No permits shall be issued for any surface improvement or paving on the street right-of-way unless a concrete curb is constructed and maintained by the applicant along his/her property line, so that the entrance and exit of vehicles to and from the applicant's property will be restricted to the established driveway approaches.
    C.    Pursuant to the permit provided for in Section 12.04.110, the applicant may surface the driveway approaches with the city right-of-way by extending the same type of paving used on applicant's premises, so that it merges with the back of curb; provided that the applicant's paving is adequate and suitable for the traffic to be carried. The extended driveway pavement from property line to back of curb shall have a slope or grade not less than one-quarter inch per foot fall. The paving between property line and the street pavement shall not extend beyond the back of curb. Obstructions placed in gutter sections that hamper drainage shall be removed and shall be replaced with a suitable curb cut opening. (Ord. 165 (part), 2000: prior code § 12.02.252)
