Section 12.04.290 Contract for sidewalk and curb construction.
A. The construction of all sidewalks and curbs ordered
constructed in the manner provided in
this chapter and which the owner of the premises in front of or along which the same have been
ordered constructed, shall fail, neglect or refuse to construct, shall be by contract, and the city
shall
let such contract to the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of such sidewalk or curb.
B. Such contractor shall construct such sidewalk or curb
in accordance with the instructions
set forth in such order of the director of public works, or other authorized person, and/or in
accordance with the specifications and subject to the conditions contained in this chapter, and all
such construction shall be under the immediate supervision and control of, and to the satisfaction of
the director of public works, or other authorized person. (Ord. 165 (part), 2000: prior code §
