Section 12.04.330 Repair of sidewalks.

All sidewalks which are now or which may be, by reason of natural deterioration or decay or by reason of unevenness, steps, rapid slopes or from any cause whatever, become dangerous to the public safety, may be condemned by the city council, and shall be by the city council removed, remodeled or repaired, or cause the same to be done, as in its judgment may be most expedient, and the costs thereof be assessed and collected as a special tax upon the lot or lots abutting upon such sidewalks.
