Section 12.04.390 Safety precautions.
All persons engaged in the construction or repair of sidewalks or curbs, must
during the time of
construction or repair and until such sidewalk or curb is open to traffic, keep the same constantly
enclosed by fence or barricade of sufficient height and so constructed as to prevent accidents to the
public, and must keep and maintain red lights burning thereon from sunset until sunrise and the
director of public works or other authorized person, shall have control over the same and may at any
time require additional enclosures to be placed around the same or the enclosures to be made more
substantial and may require additional red lights to be placed thereon. (Ord. 165 (part), 2000: prior
