Section 17.08.040 Zoning commission--Establishment and membership--Responsibilities.
A. Establishment and Membership. The city council shall
establish a zoning commission
and shall appoint members to the commission. The membership of the zoning commission shall
be composed of two members of the Hamilton planning board, two members of the Hamilton
zoning board of adjustment, one member of the Hamilton city council and two residents of the
city of Hamilton at large. The two at large members shall have a term of two years and all other
designated members shall be appointed or reappointed at the first council meeting in January
each year by the city council. All members of the zoning commission must reside within the city
limits of Hamilton.
B. Responsibilities. After the required public notice,
the zoning commission shall conduct a
public hearing on any application to zone unzoned land or to change district boundaries. (Ord.
