Section 17.104.130 Signs in B2, RVP, CM and M districts.

    A.    Combined square footage of total signage for each property owner where one or more businesses reside shall not exceed two hundred fifty (250) square feet.
    B.    Freestanding Sign. One freestanding sign may be constructed for each parcel of land in private, partnership or corporate ownership, with frontage on a public right-of-way. A freestanding sign shall not exceed thirty (30) feet in height. The following table shall determine the size of the freestanding sign allowed for any parcel of land:

    C.    Wall Sign and Window Signs. Each business may have either a window sign or a wall sign, but not both.
    1.    Wall Signs. Each business may erect a wall sign or signs with the total square footage of all signs combined, not to exceed the formula of the following table. One wall sign may be constructed on each frontage wall. The maximum allowable area for all wall signs shall be determined by the number of lineal frontage feet of building wall on which the sign or signs are being erected. Any business located in the zoning district regulated by this section which elects not to erect a freestanding sign, may increase its wall signage allowance by twenty-five (25) percent as long as such increase is applied to one wall sign only; and where more than one business is located on a parcel in single ownership, each business may increase the size of one wall sign by twenty-five (25) percent.
    2.    Window Signs. Permanent window signs must be affixed to the interior of a ground floor exterior window only. Not more than thirty (30) percent of the window may be covered. Permanent window signs for businesses, which are not located on the ground floor, are permitted. Such window signs are permitted only for businesses located with the room situated behind the window on which the signs are located.

    3.    Project Sign. Each business with frontage on a public right-of-way is permitted to have one projecting sign along that right-of-way. The projecting sign may be used instead of, but not in addition to, a freestanding sign for the same business. No projecting sign shall have more than two sides.
