Section 17.104.135 Signs in CBD zoning district.

    A.    A maximum of two signs of any combination for the following signs shall be allowed; One wall sign, one window sign, one projecting sign, one awning sign. In addition to the chosen combination of signs a business may hang an "under canopy sign." Under canopy signs shall be constructed of rigid material or take the form of a flag or banner, and they may be illuminated by indirect lighting or soft background lighting. Under canopy signs shall not project more than twelve (12) inches below the canopy and shall not be less than seven and one-half feet above the sidewalk or grade line. The under canopy sign shall not exceed ten square feet in area of each face, and shall not have more than two signage surfaces. Freestanding signs are allowed upon approval of the zoning administrator or designee. The following table gives the maximum square footage allowed for each sign.

The under canopy sign shall not exceed 10 square feet in area of each face, and shall not have more than 2 signage surfaces
Window
Permanent window signs must be affixed to the interior of a ground floor exterior window only. Not more than 30 percent of the window may be covered. Permanent window signs for businesses, which are not located on the ground floor, are permitted. Such window signs are permitted only for businesses located with the room situated behind the window on which such signs are located.
