Section 2.28.030 Emergency powers.
The chief of the fire department, or other person acting
as chief of the fire department, shall
have the following emergency powers:
A. The chief shall have the power
to order the water department, its successors or assigns,
or any other public service water company, to put into immediate operation each and every pump
and/or every other source of water supply, for the purpose of supplying sufficient water for the
extinguishing of fires or other emergencies.
B. The chief shall have the power
to order all public utility companies, such as electric light
and power companies, water companies, telephone companies, to immediately install emergency
services to all official city premises, which may have been interrupted by fire or other emergency
