Section 2.40.050 Composition of board.
A. The board shall consist of seven commissioners appointed
by the mayor with the
approval of the council.
B. The qualifications for the office of park commissioner
shall be the same as are required
for the office of mayor.
C. The mayor may appoint such ex officio park commissioners
as deemed necessary to
advise the board but may not exceed five ex officio members. Ex officio members are exempt
from qualifications in subsection B of this section. The term of office for ex officio members
shall be one year.
D. The mayor shall appoint a city staff member to be
staff representative to the park board,
and such representative shall count as one of the seven commissioners.
E. The mayor shall appoint a council member to the board
and such member shall count as
