A.    The city council shall select a member of its body to serve on the planning board. The term of the appointed member shall be coextensive with the term of office to which he or she has been elected or appointed unless the council on its first regular meeting of each year, appoints another to serve as its representative or unless his term is terminated as hereinafter provided.

    B.    The city council shall fill any vacancy occurring in its respective membership on the planning board. (Ord. 117 (part), 1997: prior code § 2.16.510)
