Section 2.52.040 Payroll deductions.
A. The city clerk is authorized to
establish a system of payroll deductions to be matched by
payments by the city to be made into the Contribution Fund of the Social Security Act through
the Public Employees' Retirement System, and to make charges of this contribution to the fund or
funds, from which wage or salary payments are issued to employees of the city.
B. Such payments to be in accordance
with the provisions of Section 1400 of the Federal
Insurance Contribution Act on all services which constitute employment within the meaning of
the Act.
C. Payments made to the Social Security
Division, P.E.R.S., State of Montana, shall be due
and payable on or before the fifteenth day of the month immediately following a completed
calendar quarter, and such payments which are delinquent shall bear interest at the rate of nine
percent a year, or ten dollars ($10.00) per day, whichever is greater, until such time as payments
