Section 6.08.030 Cruelty to animals.

    It is unlawful for any person to:
    A.    Wilfully and cruelly inflict pain upon or injure any animal;
    B.    Lay out or expose any poison for killing any dog or other animal, or to aid or abet any person in so doing;
    C.    Fail to provide dogs or other animals with sufficient good and wholesome food and water, proper shelter and protection from the weather, and necessary veterinary care;
    D.    Beat, ill treat, torment, overload, overwork, or otherwise abuse any animal;
    E.    Confine an animal in any vehicle in dangerously hot weather;
    F.    Abandon an animal; or
    G.    Provoke, harass, tease, torment or in any way disturb a dog or other animal with the intent to cause it to bark or attack any person. (Ord. 172 (part), 2000: Ord. 131 (part), 1998: prior code § 8.02.400)
