Section 8.08.080 Incinerators.
A. It is unlawful for any person,
firm or corporation within the limits of the city to burn or
allow to be burned, on or about his/her or their premises, any rubbish of any kind whatsoever,
except in approved commercial incinerators. A "commercial incinerator" is defined as an
incinerator which is designed to burn at a temperature of two thousand degrees or higher for the
purpose of burning/destruction of commercial waste products. Plans for the establishment of a
commercial incinerator shall be subject to review and approval by the office of community
development.
B. Incinerators shall not be allowed
to become so full of ashes or other residue as to
materially reduce the effectiveness of such incinerator. (Ord. 131 (part), 1998: prior code §
