Section 8.16.030 Notification by police chief.

    Whenever a nuisance exists within the city, the chief of police or designee is to examine the same and notify the owner of such property or the lessee, manager or person in charge thereof to remove, abate or destroy such nuisance without delay.
    A.    The notice shall describe the nuisance and inform the property owner or the agent or representative of such owner, that upon the failure to abate such nuisance within fourteen (14) days of such notice, the city may proceed to abate the same and assess the full cost thereof against the property involved.
    B.    The notice shall be deemed delivered when properly placed in the United States mail, postage prepaid, addressed to the owner of such property as indicated by the current records of the Ravalli County assessor or be personally served by an agent of the city. (Prior code § 14.07.030)
