Section 9.12.080 Loud speakers--Sound trucks.

    A.    It is unlawful to play, use or operate for advertising purposes or for any other purpose whatsoever, any device known as a sound truck, loud speaker or sound amplifier, radio or phonograph with loud speaker which emits loud and raucous noises on any of the streets or places in the city, unless such person, firm or corporation, agent, employee or person in charge of such device shall first have applied to and received a permit from the city to operate such device as in this section described.
    B.    Permit Fee. When a permit to operate any of the above mentioned devices has been approved, a fee in the amount of ten dollars ($10.00), for each week or portion thereof, shall be paid to the city treasurer, upon receipt of such permit. (Ord. 131 (part), 1998: prior code § 9.06.500)
