Section 9.20.030 Littering of streets.

    It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to deposit, or cause to be deposited, upon the streets or alleys of the city, any earth, sand, gravel, stone, sawdust, garbage, or other foreign substance, or to permit or suffer any portion thereof while being hauled over the streets or alleys to escape from the vehicle by which it is being transported by leakage, overflow or otherwise, or in heaps or windrows upon the streets or alleys of the city.
    Provided, the provisions of this section shall not apply where a permit has been obtained to use a portion of street or alley during the progress of repair or construction of buildings, except as to the removal of debris on completion of the work. (Ord. 131 (part), 1998: prior code § 9.06.400)
